- Use 'and' to find only stories including both terms. (Narrows search) "Healthcare and reform" will retrieve stores on healthcare reform, not the larger selection of stores relevant to either topic. OR
- Use 'or' to find stores with either term. Broadens search) "celluar or telephones" will retrieve all stores inclding the word 'cellular' or the word 'telephones'. NOTE: Searching for "cellular telephones" will return the same set of stores.
NOT - Use 'not' to find stores with one ter, but not the other. (Narrows search) "CD not bank" will retrieve stores about Compact Discs rathern than stores about Certificates of Deposit |
